ABOUT ME An Honorary member of the Guisborough Photo Group, in Guisborough, North Yorkshire, of which over the year’s I have held most of the committee’s posts, and at this moment the Chairman. I’m also a member of the Tees Digital Photo Group. of which I'm also Chairman.
Guisborough is a small market town on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, on the Capt: Cook Heritage Trail. It's regarded as the gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors & Heartbeat country. It also has a 12th Century Priory ruin.
I’m also a member of the North Yorkshire & South Durham Photographic Association, I’m also a judge on the NYSD circuit.
Most of my work was monochrome with a bit of slide work mixed in, now converted to digital, and find repairing old print a dodal with the computer. I now do all my B&W on the computer, and now trying to copy my darkroom ideas, but use it more for colour, it still takes as long but you can stop and go back to it later, with out the chemicals going off, plus there is no messing about or smell.
Most of my early photos were taken on Olympus gear, but the bulk of pictures on this web are of Canon gear, and CanoScan FS2710I, using slides, and the later ones with Canon Rebel. I now have moved up to a Canon 40D. I hope you enjoy looking through the galleries of photographs as much as I enjoyed taken them. Feel free to contact me, if you have time, I'm sorry the guest book has been remove at this time for repair and uprating.
